  • Resolve any language-version or numeric conflict with the booking branch in writing.
Detailed explanation4 short sections

Identify what the booked rate actually includes

Start with the exact reservation and the agreement that will be signed, not a marketing label. Locate the included protection, any excess or renter liability, the vehicle and drivers covered, and whether an optional product changes those terms.

Drive's English terms distinguish included CDW or excess from optional protection. That supports asking for the layers separately; it does not establish the amount or benefit for another operator, vehicle group or booking channel.

Read exclusions and use restrictions

Avis and Drive both publish restrictions, duties and exclusions in their own terms. Check who is authorized to drive, what uses or locations are restricted and which conduct can remove or limit the stated protection before anyone drives the vehicle.

Do not convert the phrase full coverage into a conclusion that every loss is covered or that liability is zero. The checked sources show contractual limits and conditions. The controlling answer must come from the exact signed terms and any separate policy being relied on.

Write down the incident procedure

Find the operator's current emergency contact, notification deadline, required police or other reports, evidence requirements and instructions about moving or repairing the car. Avis and Drive describe reporting duties, but this page does not replace the procedure attached to a specific rental.

Store the contact and booking information somewhere available during the journey. If an incident occurs, follow current safety and emergency directions first, then the operator's process. Do not authorize a repair or make a liability statement based only on this general checklist.

Resolve conflicting versions before payment

Drive's current English and Thai pages differ on material displayed thresholds and financial terms. This answer therefore withholds exact deposit, excess, age and protection figures rather than choosing a language version or averaging them.

Ask the branch or booking channel which version governs and obtain the applicable amounts and exclusions in writing. Also check whether a credit-card or travel policy is separate reimbursement rather than protection provided by the rental company. This is a contract-comparison process, not insurance advice.
