Match the official list to your trip
The MFA country-list page was updated on 15 September 2026. It now links the tourism exemption, Visa on Arrival and bilateral-agreement lists. Use the list for your actual passport or travel document, purpose, planned stay and arrival date; ask the responsible Thai embassy or consulate if the match is unclear.
The Thai e-Visa homepage could not be reopened during the 21 September check. Its application instructions and warning that approval is not automatic were last read on 14 September. If the service is unavailable to you, use the accessible MFA guidance and seek consular clarification; an outage is not an eligibility result.
Keep the September transition in context
MFA's September implementation notice gives 15 September 2026 as the effective date. Its briefing reports Gazette publication on 31 August. The earlier May proposal is historical: do not use its proposed country counts or an old 60-day-list screenshot to decide a new arrival.
The briefing says people who entered before 15 September retain their granted stay until it expires. Later entry follows the applicable new scheme, bilateral arrangement or visa. The change does not by itself shorten a stay already granted under the earlier arrangements.
Save the guidance and complete separate arrival tasks
Keep the official page, check date and any consular clarification with your itinerary. Recheck close to travel and whenever the passport, purpose, itinerary or policy changes. This guide does not establish an individual entitlement or guarantee border admission.
Visa or exemption checks are separate from the Thailand Digital Arrival Card: reading visa guidance does not complete TDAC, and TDAC does not grant a visa. Re-entry permits, 90-day reporting and cash declarations also address separate obligations; use the related guides when they apply.
Dates, responsibility & checking method
Scope of this check
Visa policy and official guidance can change. Policy review completed 2026-09-21 using the updated MFA lists and implementation notices; next review 2026-09-28. The e-Visa interface was unavailable, so its last successful access remains 2026-09-14. Confirm the applicable scheme with official guidance before travel.
